Where characters are saved

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<id>\892970\remote\characters
Paste the first path into the Explorer address bar. Each character is name.fch; the game also keeps name.fch.old and dated backups there.
Edits made here can't be undone in the game. Keep the backup until you've checked the character in game.
